Fun and Farm Update

A quick post - that seems like that's all they are anymore! I am scrambling around getting things ready to go to the beach (yeah, you heard me - I am going to the beach with a 12 week old - ack!). I am very excited to go but sad a little too because it's my last week before going back to work. Ugh. That's a touchy subject that I don't even want to think about right now. Not just the going back to work part but the leaving June with a babysitter part - many emotional meltdowns have occurred so far... I am positive it will be harder for me that it is for her though!

So, to tide everyone over, Mom came to visit us yesterday and here are some cute pics captured during the visit -





Just so it's not a complete baby-centered blog, here's a little farm update - garden veggies are cranking out! I found time to freeze about 4 gallons of corn with tons more waiting to be picked. Tomatoes will be ready probably by the time we get back from the beach. On a sad note, my guinea hen is no longer with us - not sure what happened to her. Her and her guinea hubby had been going out for long strolls and I had suspected that she had a nest somewhere across the road. They always came home at night but one night she didn't come home - I think it was 4th of July weekend. Sadly she never turned back up - I am pretending in my mind that she just found another place to live. Our male guinea is still here though and doesn't travel much anymore :( I am trying to talk Logan in to getting another hen or two.
