Whew - two posts in two days - what is going on??? I am telling you, I love the new camera!
So, remember back to before Christmas to the cute kittens we were fostering. Right before Christmas they went off to be fixed and went to the shelter to be adopted. It was with strong hopes that they would be adopted together since they were so close with each other. Alas, that didn't happen. The cute gray girl got adopted by a nice family that already had another kitten and wanted a playmate for it and the little black boy kitten didn't get adopted.
Talk about tearing at my already pregnancy-hormone-filled heart strings. Logan was the one to save the day when he asked me if I wanted him. Um, yeah I do! I tamed that kitten while they were at the house - the gray one was very snuggly but the little black one was as wild as a squirrel! Lots of evenings spent cuddling and brushing finally made a very happy and loving kitten!
So two weeks ago he came back from the shelter to live with us. I was very concerned of how Cleo would take it since when we had the kittens the first time she hid under the bed most of the time and took to peeing in Logan's sink out of spite. Imagine my surprise when she took right to him and they were chasing each other around the house days later and actually PLAYING! I know - I was shocked! Cleo rarely plays with us, let alone another cat! Gabby is as mothering as usual and tolerates him clinging to her whenever she meows. She even makes sure he is always squeaky clean :)
We decided to name him Moses after one of my favorite children's books of all times - Moses the Kitten by James Herriot. He has made himself right at home and is my constant shadow if he's not curled up with Gabby. I am so glad we made the decision to bring him home although we seem crazy since we already have a house full of animals and a baby on the way! Cats don't take up much space though ;) He definitely belongs here and I don't regret it for a minute!

Napping with his best buddy and surrogate mommy Gabby
Even Cleo tolerates him (although he she won't let him snuggle up to her quite yet)
I couldn't resist posting such a pretty picture of a pretty kitty - look at those pretty blue eyes!
Handsome little Moses!

Now there are 3 kitties you'll have to watch not to smother the baby - just kidding - I couldn't have left him at the shelter either.
Love, Mom XOXO
